Elin Örneholm

I am a professionally educated dancer, who loves to experiment and combine different art forms. The driving force behind everything I create has always been expression in all its forms. I aim to inspire, affect and move through my art.

During the past 10 years, I have worked as a dancer, choreographer, actress, DJ, dance teacher, and project leader. This has given me the chance to master and professionally execute a broad set of skills; from dancing at some of Sweden's biggest stages in both commercial and artistic work to being hired for choreographing scenic works, leading projects from the first idea to the final product, arranging diverse events, putting dance floors in motion in DJ booths, and acting on stage in various roles. I am always curious about new challenges, bringing creative input and knowledge to whatever field needed. 

 

I am educated in the contemporary program of the Royal Swedish Ballet School, including training in modern dance, jazz dance, ballet, improvisation, and contact improvisation. I am also since a young age trained in different street styles, mainly hip hop. I like to seek inspiration in different dance styles, movement forms, and any situation or area in life that can contribute to my creative process. This results generally in movement patterns containing a fusion of contemporary dance and street styles including a lot of floorwork.
Small and sharp details and clean visual forms combined with big, flowy, and continuous ones always with a core of strong expressions and presence.
